FESTAC 2077 Presents a Manifesto on Publicness, Text, and Spectacle

FESTAC 2077, an experimental art and culture initiative, is proud to present its latest exhibition Write, if you please, exploring the possibilities of alternative publishing practices. The exhibition forms part of FESTAC 2077’s inaugural multi-year program, Manifesto ACTS!, with the ultimate goal of crafting a manifesto that examines concepts such as publicness, authorship, authority, spectacle, and text.

Write, if you please invites viewers to engage with sonic and visual fragments from FESTAC’s recent workshops, reimagining the act of publishing as a public and collaborative process. Through these interactive experiences, visitors are encouraged to imagine and co-create versions of the FESTAC 2077 manifesto.

Presented in partnership with the AWCA and supported by the Goethe Institut Nigeria through the Support + Connect Award, the exhibition will be held at the Treehouse from October 31, 2024, to November 5, 2024.
