Goethe-Institut, The Balvenie Makers Project and SOTO Gallery Present: IN THE MIX, with the Lagos Art Book Fair

SOTO Gallery, in partnership with Goethe-Institut and The Balvenie Makers Project, proudly presents IN THE MIX, a multifaceted exhibition celebrating contemporary African art. This exhibition invites you to explore the postcolonial African landscape through the powerful works of @admire_kamudzengerere, @lilian_magodi, @mercy_moyo, @nyashamarovatsanga, @sky.salanje, @musekiwa.terrence, and @wycliffemundopa. Each artist brings bold perspectives on identity, history, and modernity through figuration and abstraction, reflecting the layers of African culture in transition. 

As part of the exhibition programming, the Lagos Art Book Fair will run from November 3rd to 5th, featuring a curated selection of art books and magazines by Nigerian and international publishers. Join us on Sunday, November 3rd, for exclusive artist and writer talks, where we’ll explore the role of books in capturing cultural narratives and the dialogue between tradition and modernity. 

 The exhibition continues until December 7th, 2024.
